Gaurav Mirlekar received the Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Process Systems Engineering from West Virginia University, USA. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and Cybernetics at the University of South-Eastern Norway. Prior to that, he held a position as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Energy and Process Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He also participated in a research program at the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) in the USA. His research interests include advanced process control, biomimetic control methods, process optimization, process modeling, simulations, process systems engineering, and data-driven techniques.
