In my PhD research, I examine the significance of facilitation in supervision, whether as collective or individual supervision, for master's students' active learning and professional understanding. I am particularly interested in what master's students and supervisors think and say about supervision and how the profession the students are being educated for is expressed within the supervision setting. My specific expertise lies in feedback, peer-to-peer feedback, examination formats, and supervision.

CV

In the autumn of 2022, I was employed at USN on the KAV project as a PhD fellow. Currently, I manage the project alongside Professor Rie Thomsen.

My background includes a position as Associate Professor in Social Sciences at VIA University College Aarhus, Denmark, for 12 years within the Social Work programme. My primary responsibilities have been competence development for educators and supervisors within the programme, and supervision for lecturer qualification. As a Dane, I occasionally write Norwegian in a somewhat peculiar manner.

I hold a master's degree in Sociology and Social Work from Aalborg University, am a certified coach, and a licensed social worker.

My career began as a self-taught project manager at FO and Aarhus Municipality on a cultural dissemination project funded by the EU Social Fund. Later, I ventured into theatre, being accepted into the Nordic Theatre School in Aarhus and worked for several years with various forms of theatre, dissemination, and coaching, before transitioning to academia, where I have remained.

In Denmark, I have been the chairperson for external examiners for the Danish social work programmes for 10 years, and I am very committed to ensuring transparent and fair examination formats and assessments for students, supervisors, examiners, and assessors.
